Sophia entered a contest at school and won 2nd place in the whole school! It is the PTA Reflections contest and she chose to enter a collage of photographs that she took with her own digital camera. She went on a walk with us one day in the neighborhood and asked several neighbors if she could photograph items in their yard that looked interesting. She named her collage "Wow! Keep your eyes open" And she was really proud to hear her name announced as second place winner. Some entries were written works, drawings, paintings, dance videos etc. She is being recognized next week at Ashley Ridge High School and her entry will go on to Columbia to be judged in the state competition!! Tell Sophia congrats from us. Our school does this also, so I know that this is a big deal. I especially love to see the photography!
